Project 01: Citrix Virtual Desktop Setup and Configuration (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role -

On the bare metal ESXI Server created the windows servers. Installed and Configured the Citrix Virtual Desktop/App.
Configured users with domain controllers and access level permissions.

Registered the citrix store and users are able to access the Virtual Desktop Configured NAS for the storage for ESXI Server.

Project 02: AWS Elastic Beanstalk php Application Deployement (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role –

Deployed the php Application on the AWS Beanstalk

Configured the Application using Elastic Beanstalk Command Line Interface (EB CLI). The Application was configured with the Load Balancer.

Configured the Cloud Watch and Cloud Alarm for the app if the app goes down and monitor the network traffic.





Project 03: AWS WorkSpaces (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role –

Had to provide a fast and scalable Virtualization Concept as Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp AWS had the option for Virtualization concept in the name of WorkSpaces
Amazon provided the option of adding the existing domain controller or creating a new domain.

Configured the WorkSpace for the client with the existing domain and created a Windows Virtual Desktop

Price was the issue and we had to buy the workspace for each and every user. So replaced WorkSpace with Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp.

Project 04: AWS EC2 Database Backup to S3 with 2 hours retention (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role –

Had to provide a architecture for ensuring the data is protected and safe guarded for production applications.

AWS provided the AWS S3 Cli tools for storing and accessing the S3 Bucket Created a storage bucket and mounted the S3 bucket as a disk.

With the help of AWS SDK cli tools automated the DbDump backup every two hours Configured the DbDump in a retention basis where for a day we will have 6 Backups
As per client requirement and used the First in First out concept to delete the DbDump



Project 05: AWS Relational Database Service (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role –

As per the requirement for using the large database and with high scalability and availability with failover and access by other regions.

Client needed to use the RDS Postgresql Database for Pentaho Bi Server

Installed and configured the BI server to be connected to the RDS instances and configured the instance with Elastic Load Balancer.

Configured the RDS instance backup for every two hours and taking a regular snapshot. Configured the RDS with A-Z availability so that it can be accessed from across the
region.



Project 06: AWS Cloud Formation for WordPress Site (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role –

Client wanted to install the WordPress and use the RDS database with High Availability Rather than following the normal create instance and further going with all the
prospective.

Went on with the idea and automating the work with the script structure.

Used the AWS Cloud Formation for the requirement where things can be automated in the Json format

Provided all the information on Resources and details required to launch the application WordPress was automated and used the same for Drupal Installation. Automating things
saves time and resources.





Project 07: AWS OpsWork from Learning Prospective (December 2014 – Jan-2015)

My role –

From the learning prospective had to look at the other options of building a complete stack environment for an application

Went on creating a stack first and then added the instance. We can add the existing the instance on the same.

Background the stack and the bundle environment is using chef

By the time the stack and the instance gets added we can create the load balancers. We can HA proxy as the load balancer.

Once the load balancer is configured we can add the Apps and we can use the Git for the repository type

Once the repository is added and then deploy the apps and once it has been configured we can access the application from the Elastic IP
